These years gave me an intimate and intrinsic understanding of Middle-Eastern, Muslim and Arab cultures, as well as partial fluency in Arabic. I draw on these experiences and refer to current research on the topic to bring unexpected insights and understanding to what is often a misunderstood segment of people.
